Incontinence Treatment in Chatswood

Doctor-led treatment for stress incontinence, urgency, mixed incontinence, nocturia and prolapse-related symptoms

What Is Incontinence?

Urinary incontinence is common and affects both women and men. It includes symptoms such as leakage with coughing or exercise, strong urges to rush to the toilet, increased frequency or uncontrollable leakage of the bladder.

Nocturia, waking one or more times at night to pass urine, is not technically a form of incontinence but often occurs alongside urgency or an overactive bladder. Nocturia can significantly affect sleep quality and daily well-being, and it is managed using similar treatment pathways.

Our Treatment Technologies

Emsella® Pelvic Floor Therapy

Emsella chair at Remedy Plus Medical Clinics in Chatswood used for pelvic floor treatment and incontinence therapy.

The Emsella Chair uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles, producing thousands of deep contractions during each 30-minute session, equivalent to performing over 11,000 Kegel exercises.

These supramaximal contractions improve muscle strength and endurance, leading to better bladder control, pelvic support, and sexual function for both men and women.

Emsella is TGA-approved in Australia for the treatment of urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction and pelvic floor weakness. Unlike conventional exercises, it can trigger both hypertrophy (muscle fibre thickening) and hyperplasia (formation of new muscle fibres), providing results that go beyond what can be achieved through exercise alone.

All sessions are non-invasive, performed fully clothed, and require no downtime.

Er:YAG Laser Therapy (Off-Label Use)

Fotona Er:YAG medical laser at Remedy Plus Clinic in Chatswood used under medical supervision for pelvic floor and tissue-tightening treatments.

Remedy Plus also offers women this non-surgical, safe and painless treatment using an Er:YAG medical laser, a precision device used internationally to promote gentle tissue tightening and collagen regeneration in the vaginal and pelvic region.

This technology can assist women in improving stress incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse & laxity, and thinning or atrophic tissue, especially when used as part of a doctor-supervised program combining Emsella and medical laser therapy.

While the Er:YAG device itself is registered for medical use in Australia, its application for pelvic floor or vaginal conditions is not TGA-approved and is therefore considered an off-label use.

At Remedy Plus, these non-surgical laser sessions are performed only by trained medical practitioners following a detailed consultation, assessment, and informed consent.
