How OptimaScan 3D Mole Mapping Works
The scan itself takes just one minute
108 images are taken in that time.
You just stand still while lights and cameras rotate around you.
The result is a detailed 3D mole map
Software combines images to create a detailed mole map.
At future appointments, it can help identify new or changed spots.
More Than Just a Mole Map
Doctor skin cancer check
Your $120 offer also includes a full skin cancer check with our doctor.
We particularly encourage this if you have not had a full skin cancer check within the last 6 months.
On Tuesdays & Wednesdays, the doctor check can usually be completed at the same visit.
On other days, a second appointment may be required.
The doctor consultation will be bulk billed for Medicare-eligible patients.
For patients without Medicare, the doctor consultation fee is $100.
Your full skin assessment
Our melanographer will perform a full skin assessment as well as creating your OptimaScan 3D mole map.
Any spots that appear unusual or need further assessment will be referred to our doctor for review.
